Mission

Community Health Ventures (CHV) is a for-profit, wholly owned subsidiary of the non-profit Muskegon Community Health Project, located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Muskegon, Michigan. Founded in 2001, the CHV team is experienced at helping communities develop and implement local strategies to increase medical access and reduce the burden of chronic disease conditions among at-risk populations. The CHV effort is based on the highly effective and successful MCHP model of employing citizen-led coalitions as described in the book, Out of the Box and Over the Barriers. Capable…the Community Health Ventures team is a group of community professionals trained in working with health care issues of at-risk populations. CHV has helped other communities develop successful collaborative solutions that enhance services and improve access for people who’s health needs are underserved.

Experienced…the Community Health Ventures team has more than a decade of extensive experience the development of collaborative solutions to health related local issues. This experience includes the planning, financing, implementing, and sustaining real world programs that are best practice models for other communities to learn from.
